We would be kinda insecure about having a life-sized Kylo Ren lurking in the corner, but it’s just a statue, or is it? Armada & X-Wing Home Office via Robot_Dinosaur86/Reddit We suspect these life-sized replicas run about as much as Solo’s debt to Jabba the Hut. Star Wars Wall Of Fame via Starwars

One thing we’ve learned is that you can’t tell a Star Wars fan just by observation. Sure, there are those who proudly display their fandom with a T-shirt or have the Imperial March as their ringtone, but most big fans don’t announce it. Instead, many homeowners pay a private tribute to their favorite series with a Star Wars room or Star Wars decor in their house. Cargo Bay was designed to feel like a grubby cargo ship that’s transporting creatures and droids between different planets,” Handke explains. “The idea is that when the kids come here to play, they’re rescuing and rehabilitating creatures and bringing them to the creature shop down at Batuu.” (The creatures are not actually transported to Bina’s Creature Stall at Galaxy’s Edge, but it’s all part of the story that’s being told.) Grungy interior of Star Wars: Cargo Bay on the Disney Wish (Photo: Josh Roberts) Batuu (which is said to be like a day in the life of Galaxy’s Edge featuring the Star Destroyer from Rise of the Resistance and Hondo Ohnaka’s ship) , Are you a stay-at-home-worker who wants to inject some of that Luke Skywalker vibe into your home office? If you’d like a habitable office space that doesn’t look like a film set but has all the desired design elements that remind you of the galaxy far, far away, here’s some serious inspo for office organization, workspace decor, and layout to makeyour #homeofficegoalsa reality! Minimalist Star Wars Home Office via Svanir80/RedditInside the Hyperspace Lounge, the New Star Wars Bar on the Disney Wish Cruise Ship by Martin, Garrett on www.pastemagazine.com (archived from the original on July 10, 2022) Decidedly, unapologetically geeky, these man caves celebrate Star Wars through and through. Star Wars Sanctuary via Nypost Both the Hyperspace Lounge and Cargo Bay exemplify the Disney Wish’s commitment to immersive storytelling around every corner. The whole experience is like environmental theater on perhaps the world’s biggest stage. If you’re a Star Wars fan, this is definitely the cruise ship you’re looking for. More from FamilyVacationist: It’s been a several years since Disney Cruise Line debuted its first Star Wars Day at Sea, a themed sea day on select voyages in which Star Wars characters and events take center stage. But with the introduction of DCL’s fifth ship, Disney Wish, every day can feel like a Star Wars day, because the cruise ship features exclusive and fully themed Star Wars experiences for both kids and adults. For those of us who grew up with Star Wars, “grungy” is affectionate code for the lived-in feel of the original and sequel trilogies, compared to the relatively sleek style of the Republic’s starships in the prequels. And the immersive play space and storyline of Cargo Bay fits neatly into that “grungy” description as well.

The Star Wars: Cargo Bay area on the Disney Wish is a themed play space inside the ship’s Oceaneer Club for kids ages three to 12. And unlike the swanky Hyperspace Lounge, says Handke, “Cargo Bay is the grungy side of Star Wars.” The Death Star wall piece and the pink TIE fighter desk are to die for. Also, the LED lights on both those pieces are in sync and glow together. FOR THE EMPIRE! The Star Wars bedding set featuring X-Wings and Millenium Falcon steals the spotlight. But wait, BB has been sleeping in my bed – and it’s still there! Porg Bedroom via Galacticglitter Angled beams, star-lit walls, and a lobby designed to resemble the Death Star’s gangplanks. As Master Yoda would say, die for this room we would. Space-Age Home Theater via DigitaltrendsThe Hyperspace Lounge is a space that seems custom-made for cosplaying, and indeed Handke hopes that guests will show up in their Star Wars best. “That’s the beauty of designing a space like this. We want guests to be able to play along and be part of the show,” he told me. Entering the Hyperspace Lounge through a short dark-paneled corridor, you’re immediately transported from the Wish’s castle-on-the-seas cruise ship atmosphere to a galaxy far, far away. Press a button and a space door whooshes open (complete with the signature sound) and suddenly you’re no longer on the Disney Wish at all. Instead you’re inside a gilded high-end space lounge befitting the galaxy’s highest of high rollers. Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge is adults-only after dark and all-ages during the day. Star Wars: Cargo Bay is a kids-only themed play area in the ship’s Oceaneer Club. The interior will be designed with sleek, metallic detailing inspired by “lavish star cruisers” similar to Dryden Vos’ ship in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Gold will feature prominently throughout the lounge. And throughout the space there will be all kinds of Easter eggs for big Star Wars fans!

Can’t help wondering how long it takes to dust it, but it’s cool AF. Star Wars Girl’s Bedroom via Starwars But, you won’t just be there to sip some otherworldly drinks and to admire some of the decorations. When you enter this lounge, you’ll “embark on a space-jumping tour of the Star Wars galaxy.” While guests sip their drinks, the virtually-enhanced space will transport them (using hyperspace, of course) to iconic Star Wars locations including:

Belly up to the illuminated bar in the Sublight Lounge or try your luck at the Mos Eisley Cantina.

So, what are the two Star Wars spaces on the Disney Wish actually like? I had the opportunity to explore both (and speak with the people behind the magic). Here’s what you and your kids can expect inside the Hyperspace Lounge and Cargo Bay areas on the Disney Wish.
