About this deal

In the chronograph world, you really only have two options: The expensive complicated units that give you most of what you need, but cost far too much, or the cheaper models that are outdated, not very portable, are light-sensitive/dependent, and often break easily. The FX V2 chronograph itself is a wireless radar-based chronograph. It communicates via Bluetooth to either your smart phone or the FX Chrono-graph Display (sold separately). The app (available for both iOS and Android) does more than just show the feet per second of the projectile. It allows users to store multiple rifle profiles, shows shot strings, standard deviations, extreme spreads and much more. If you (the customer) requests DPD (our courier) to leave your parcel with a neighbour or in safe place either via Parcelforce text, app, direct instructions or via historical instructions given to DPD to be applied to your deliveries, then the receiver accepts full responsibility for parcels that are left in a safe place or delivered at request to a neighbour etc.

Capable of recording velocities from 400-4000FPS it has applications for both Airguns and full bore rifles alike. Stop guessing the performance of your setup and tune your gun / reloads to finest of degrees. The centre fire capable chronogaph not only records and logs your strings, but also gives Ballistic Calculations and data to help you improve your loads / tune to gain a greater understanding of how your setup will perform in a real world environment. FYI, The FX Radar Chrony was initially developed for use on paintball guns and later upgraded to work with airguns. It was never intended for firearms. In the chronograph world, you really only have two options: The expensive complicated units that give you most of what you need, but cost far too much, or the cheaper models that are outdated, not very portable, are light sensitive/dependent, and often break easily. It should be pretty obvious in the first picture how this chronograph is mounted. It clamps directly on your gun’s barrel. What about pistols? We’ll explore that later.

You do require a Smart Phone, which is up to date in the last few years to run the app that connects to the unit. Vocal shout outs for each shot can enable smooth target grouping at the range, just listen to the result and don’t take your eye off the target. The True Ballistic Radar Chronograph measures actual speeds at four different velocities readings from 0 - 300yrds to determine actual ballistic coefficient using G1/G7 drag models. This provides actual data in your conditions, info that provides the difference between a hit and a miss. Whats it worth to you to hit your target? Use the on board display or connect to the FX Radar app to get more out of the ballistic data. FX is always looking for ways to revolutionize and improve their customers experience, and they decided to find a way to offer the best of both worlds, a chronograph of high quality that is surprisingly affordable.

Use two stout rubber bands to wrap around the barrel and slip the ends over pegs on the chronograph feet. Rifles like the AirForce TalonSS are naturals for mounting. Rifles with slimmer barrels like the S510XS I’m using today may require a second wrap of the rubber bands. It's important to know that due to state and local laws, there are certain restrictions for various products. However, on the 9th shot the nice lady said nothing. And the display on my phone didn’t change. Oh — I’ve seen this before. The chronograph didn’t record that shot! Sure enough when the 10th pellet went out the spout the chrono thought it was shot number nine and recorded it that way.
